Not happy with your purchase? Return it within 7 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. No questions asked.
At Polka Dots Designer Studio, your satisfaction is our top priority. We want you to love every piece you receive. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, our return and refund policy is designed to make the process as smooth as possible.
Return Eligibility
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- The return request must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the product.
- The product must be unused, unwashed, and in its original condition.
- All original tags, labels, and packaging must be intact and attached.
- The product must not have been altered, hemmed, or customized after delivery.
- Proof of purchase (order number or invoice) must be provided.
Items That Cannot Be Returned
Exchange Process
We offer easy exchanges for a different size or colour (subject to availability). The exchange process is as follows:
Request Exchange
Go to "My Orders" in your account, select the item, and click "Request Exchange". Choose your preferred size or colour.
Approval
Our team reviews your request within 24 hours. You will receive a confirmation email with pickup details.
Pickup
Our courier partner picks up the original item from your address at no extra cost. Pack it in the original packaging if possible.
Inspection
We inspect the returned item within 1-2 business days of receiving it to ensure it meets our return conditions.
New Item Shipped
Once approved, the replacement item is shipped to you free of charge. Standard delivery timelines apply.

Refund processing begins within 3-5 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item. Bank processing times are additional and vary by institution.
Custom / DressForge Order Policy
Important: No Returns on Custom Orders
Since custom-made products and DressForge orders are created specifically to your measurements and design specifications, they are not eligible for standard returns or exchanges.
However, we guarantee quality. If your custom order has any of the following issues, we will make it right:
- Significant quality defect: Stitching errors, fabric flaws, or construction issues not present in the approved stage photos.
- Design deviation: The final product substantially differs from the design you approved during the DressForge process.
- Measurement error: If we made the garment using incorrect measurements (not caused by inaccurate self-measurement).
In such cases, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We will offer a free alteration, remake, or partial refund depending on the severity of the issue.
How to Initiate a Return
Step 1: Log In to Your Account
Visit My Orders in your account dashboard.
Step 2: Select the Order and Item
Find the order, click on it, and select the specific item(s) you wish to return. Click "Request Return" or "Request Exchange".
Step 3: Provide Reason and Photos
Select the reason for return and upload photos if the item is damaged or defective. This helps us process your request faster.
Step 4: Wait for Approval and Pickup
We review your request within 24 hours. Once approved, a courier pickup will be scheduled at your address within 2-3 business days.
Step 5: Refund Processed
After we receive and inspect the returned item, your refund is processed to the original payment method as per the timeline above.
Marketplace Returns
Products purchased from marketplace vendors are covered by the same return policy. Returns are handled through Polka Dots, and the vendor is notified. The Polka Dots Buyer Protection guarantee ensures your purchase is protected. If there is any dispute, our support team will mediate to ensure a fair resolution.
Damaged or Wrong Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or wrong product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of the issue. We will:
- Arrange a free pickup of the item (no return shipping costs for you).
- Send a replacement at no extra charge, or process a full refund including original shipping costs.
- Expedite the process — damaged/defective claims are prioritized and typically resolved within 3 business days.
Return Shipping Costs
For standard returns (change of mind, size issues), return shipping is free — we arrange the pickup at no cost to you. If you prefer to ship the item yourself, you are responsible for the return shipping cost and must use a trackable shipping method. We are not responsible for return packages lost in transit without tracking.
